TAK-285 (CAS 871026-44-7) is a small molecule inhibitor targeting the receptor tyrosine kinases HER2 and EGFR with reported IC50 values of 17 nM and 23 nM respectively Both HER2 and EGFR are members of the ErbB receptor family frequently implicated in tumorigenesis through overexpression in various cancers TAK-285 demonstrates selective inhibition of cancer cell lines overexpressing HER2 or EGFR while sparing cells with normal expression levels In xenograft models TAK-285 administration significantly reduced tumor growth Additionally the compound inhibits downstream signaling by suppressing AKT and MAPK phosphorylation TAK-285 serves as a valuable tool for investigating HER2/EGFR-driven oncogenic mechanisms and for evaluating therapeutic strategies targeting these pathways
